Daniel Eugene Patterson Sr. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Daniel Eugene Patterson Sr, age 81 passed away peacefully on July 15, 2022. He was born on June 22,1941 to the late Daniel and Frances (Beville) Patterson. He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 55 years, Julia Patterson. He was also preceded in death by his daughter, Beth Gibbs and great granddaughter, Baileigh Estes, siblings Drew Patterson, Dorothy McCarty, Diane Stoker, Donna Patterson and Rose Murphy. Dan was blessed and honored to be ordained as a Deacon in 1976 as part of Louisville’s first deaconate class and being assigned to St Luke Catholic Church. He loved all sports, especially fast-pitch softball. He was the head softball coach for several years at Bellarmine University. He was also an avid pool player and car enthusiast. In 1960 he started work at Stoker's Tenderex Farms as a truck driver and progressed to owner and partner in 1974. He is survived by his children, Annette Choo (Fong), Danny Patterson, Jr. (Cindi), Diana Hill (Mike), Julie Wildt (Sonny), Michael Patterson (Jenifer) and Whitney Mathley (Ian); siblings, Douglas Patterson (Suzie), Sherry Reas (Jay) and Duane Eaton; grandchildren, Billy, Michael, Sarah, Daniel, Lance, Jessica, Roy, Allison, Dylan, Dillon, Matthew, Max, Aiden and Jacquelyn; great grandchildren, Kade, Elizabeth and Amelia; and his fur baby, Zena. Visitation will be Tuesday, July 19th from 2-8 p.m. at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. His funeral Mass will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, July 20th from St. John Paul II, 3521 Goldsmith Lane, followed by burial in Calvary Cemetery.
