Eleftheria “Rea” Barker, 81, passed away Friday, February 11, 2022 surrounded by her family. Born on September 6, 1940 in Crete, Greece, she was a daughter of the late Michael Anefalos and Irene Koleti. Rea was a retired employee of General Electric and was a devout member of St. Michael Orthodox Church. She took pride in her flowers and gardening and was a fabulous baker. She received so much joy from her family, especially the grands and great-grandchildren. She had a great love for St. Michael Church and was always a giver having a “servant’s heart”. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Correna Reichle (Tim), Diane Snyder (Steve), Darian Barker and Dan Barker (Susan); her sister, Sula Russillo; her brother, John Anefalos; 10 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren. Visitation will take place on Tuesday, the 15th of February from 11 a.m. until 8 p.m. at St. Michael Orthodox Church, 3701 St. Michael Church Drive. Trisagion Prayers will be recited at the church Tuesday evening at 6:30 p.m. Her funeral service will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, followed by burial in Highland Memory Gardens.
