Gary David Hosch

July 8, 1975 - January 9, 2022

Gary David Hosch, 46, passed away on Sunday, January 9, 2022. Born on July 8, 1975 in Louisville, Gary was a longtime employee of Louisville Gas & Electric in Meter Services and a Union Steward for Local IBEW 2100. Gary attended St. Martha Catholic School and was a member of the class of 1993 from St. Xavier High School. Gary was a wonderful husband and loving father, beloved son, and a terrific brother to his siblings, and was particularly supportive of his special needs brother Michael. He was a family man, and was especially fond of his many nieces and nephews, and enjoyed family time and watching them grow up. A lifelong devoted fan of the University of Louisville Cardinals, Gary loved sports. He looked forward to the start of football season every year, particularly the Dallas Cowboys, and mourned its end after each Super Bowl. A loyal friend, Gary was happiest hanging out with friends and family and watching a good game. He took pride in supporting his union brothers, enjoyed camping, and was always up for a good game of cards. His father, Russell Hosch, proceeded him in death. Gary is survived by his wife, Holly, and his child by blessing Hunter Koch; his mother, Carol Hosch; his brothers Stephen and Michael; his sister Kathy Boston; and several nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road, on Thursday, January 13 from 2 to 8 P.M. Expressions of sympathy may be directed to Pillar, formerly known as Apple Patch Community, at 7408 Hwy. 329, Crestwood, KY 40014, or online at www.pillarsupport.org. Online condolences may be shared at www.ratterman.com.
