James "Jim" A. Glaser

May 9, 1948 - March 8, 2022

James A. Glaser, 73, died on March 8th, 2022. Jim was born in Louisville, Kentucky to William and Marjorie Glaser on May 9th, 1948. He is survived by his loving wife, Carol, of 52 years, his children James T. Glaser (Melissa), Mara Schafer (David), and Erin Glaser. His four grandchildren, Kyle Schafer (Laken), Dylan Schafer (Avian), Laura and Alex Glaser and two great grandchildren, Wyatt and Emmerson Schafer. His brother, Thomas A. Glaser (Donna), and numerous family and friends. Jim was a devoted family man, a kind and gentle soul and a notorious jokester. He was always making others smile. Many tales center around Jim’s wit and antics. Jim was a graduate of Saint Xavier High School and Bellarmine University. He worked in IT for 30 years and retired from Akzo Nobel. His family would like to thank Baptist East Palliative Care and Hosparus for their compassionate care. Expressions of sympathy can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or Hosparus. Visitation will be Friday, March 11th from 2pm to 8pm at Ratterman Funeral Home, 10600 Taylorsville Road and 9am to 10am on Saturday, March 12th at St. Michael’s Catholic Church, 3705 Stone Lakes Drive, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow. Burial will be private.
