Marchita Purvis, 80, entered Eternal Life Saturday, December 26, 2020. Marchita was born in Louisville to the late Willard and LaVern Hoskins. She served her family faithfully as a homemaker, a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mel Purvis, Sr. Survivors include her children, Mel Purvis, Jr. (Kelly) and Libby Purvis; grandchildren, Melanie Ridge and Jason Wright (Stephanie); and great grandchildren, Maggie Ridge, Joey Ridge, and Aubrey Wright. Visitation will be held 9-11 a.m. Saturday, January 2, 2020 at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road.
