April 11, 1940 - April 28, 2021

Mary Cecile Dupre Reker, 81, passed away peacefully Wednesday, April 28, 2021. She was born in Louisville on April 11, 1940. Her friends called her Ceil, her grandkids called her MawMaw, and many others over the years called her Mom Reker. She graduated in the first graduating class of Assumption High School, Class of ‘58, and worked at St. Joseph Infirmary until making a home for her family. She loved holidays, bowling (at PeeWee Reese Lanes), crossword puzzles, bingo, card games, laughing, and sharing a Manhattan or Highball at Happy Hour. Ceil was preceded in death by her parents Leo A. Dupre and Irene Ryan Dupre, husband Donald A. Reker, sons Stephen “Steve” and Richard “Ricky” Reker, and brother Leo “Junior” Dupre. Left to celebrate all the wonderful memories she made are her brother Francis “Frank” Dupre ( the late, JoAnn), sister Katherine “Kay” Dupre Meurer ( the late, Don), daughter Elayne Noltemeyer (Jay); grandchildren Kevin (Liz), Renee, and Bryan (Samantha) Noltemeyer, Rebecca Reker Keaney, Donnie Reker, Angela Reker, Chrystal Garcia Kessler (John), and Kaci Huff; several great grandchildren; and Michelle Reker. Visitation will be Sunday, May 2 from 2:00 – 7:00 pm at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. Her funeral Mass will be Monday at 10:00 am at St. Martha Catholic Church, 2825 Klondike Lane. Burial will follow in Calvary Cemetery. A special gratitude to the caretakers at Atria Senior Living at Stoneybrook, Sam Swope Center at Masonic Home, and all others who made her life bearable during the pandemic. Donations in her honor can be made to American Heart Association, American Lung Association, or Assumption High School.
