MICHAEL “MIKE” RAY LAWSON, 61, of Louisville, passed on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Mike was a retired service technician from Getinge. He loved to laugh and tell jokes. He enjoyed working outdoors, watching the Louisville Cards play, NASCAR races, and spending time at the farm and Rough River Lake. He adored his “doglets” Penny and Libby, especially his granddog Archie. Mike faced his disease with courage until the end, and found solace spending quality time with loved ones and reconnecting with old friends. He was preceded in death by his father, James Randall Lawson. Left to cherish his memory is his loving wife of 37 years, the former Jennifer Hinton; his daughter Audrey Elizabeth Lawson (Steven); his mother Regina Ann Lawson; brothers Randy Lawson (Debbie) and Jerry Lawson (Karen); brother-in-law Dr. Stephen Hinton (Deborah); sister-in-law Jane Ruemmele (Stephen); several nieces and nephews; several great nieces and nephews; and a host of other relatives and dear friends. Visitation will be on Tuesday, May 10th, 2022 from 3 pm until 7 pm at Ratterman and Sons Funeral Home Jeffersontown 10600 Taylorsville Rd., with his service beginning at 7 pm in the Funeral Home Chapel. Expressions of sympathy may be made to the ALS Association or the Kentucky Humane Society.
