Mother Katherine Kuebert O.C.D. Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Kuebert, Mother Katherine, O.C.D., age 94, Sister Katherine of the Holy Trinity, (born Dorothy Jane Kuebert), a Discalced Carmelite nun of the monastery formerly on Newburg Road, died Friday, November 5, 2021 at Nazareth Home – Clifton Campus where she resided with other members of the Carmelite community. Daughter of Joseph and Helen Kuebert, she is also preceded in death by her older sister Katherine. She was educated at the Sacred Heart Model School and Academy and Ursuline College. A native of Louisville, Sister Katherine entered the Carmel on Park Avenue in 1947 and made profession of vows as a cloistered nun in 1948. After the community moved to the Newburg Road Monastery in 1952, she administered the Altarbread Department and sacristy. From 1978 to the close of the Monastery, she served on the Council, as subprioress, then as Prioress from 2003 to 2013. When the Monastery closed in 2015, she moved to the Ursuline Motherhouse where she resided until moving to Nazareth Home. Visitation will be from 4 pm to 6 pm Sunday, November 7th at the Ursuline Motherhouse Library (East Entrance, lower level), 3115 Lexington Road, with the Wake Service at 5 pm. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated by Archbishop Joseph Kurtz at 10 am Monday in the Ursuline Motherhouse Chapel. Burial will be private in the cemetery of the former monastery on Newburg Road.
