Randall Franklin Pelfrey Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Randall Pelfrey, 92, passed away Thursday, December 9, 2021. He was born in Dingus Kentucky which is in Morgan County on May 4, 1929. In his early years, he went into the Army and then attended Eastern Kentucky University for his undergraduate degree in Education. After attaining his undergraduate degree, Randall attended the University of Louisville where he received his master’s degree and Principal certification. Randall always loved playing sports whether it was basketball, football or baseball. He coached basketball and baseball at Simpsonville Highschool in the late 50’s. This was always his true love and he loved talking about the students he coached. He was also a Highschool Math teacher for several years before being named Principal in Jefferson County. He was Principal at Watson Lane Elementary and Rangeland Elementary School. After retiring early, Randall enjoyed playing Senior Softball where his team won the World Series! He is also an avid gun and knife dealer and collector. He is preceded in death by his sister, Thelma Bradley. Randall is survived by his daughters, Karla Perry and Trish (Larry) Feltner; and 2 grandsons, Matthew and Jacob Feltner. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 15 4:00 to 8:00 pm at Ratterman & Sons Funeral Home, 3800 Bardstown Road. His funeral service will be Thursday at 9:00 am in the chapel of the funeral home.
