Shawn Michael McCarty, 32, entered Eternal Life Sunday, January 16, 2022. Shawn was the beloved son to Michael and Michelle McCarty. He was known by many to be a loving and caring soul and thoroughly enjoyed DC Comics and his beloved childhood favorite, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. He will be remembered for his incredible work ethic, a tenacious devotion to his family, and loveable nature. He will be dearly missed by his UPS team, where he worked for more than 14 years. He was preceded in death by his grandmother, Laura Hughes. Survivors include his parents, Michael and Michelle; brothers, Robert and Joseph; sister, Lisa McDaniel (Chris); and grandfather, Joe Hughes. Memorial visitation will be held 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at Ratterman and Sons, 3800 Bardstown Road. A Memorial service will be celebrated at the conclusion of receiving hours, 12:00 p.m. Thursday, March 17, 2022 at the funeral home.
